The world-renown Loma Linda University Medical Center operates several of the nation’s leading clinical programs. The 900-bed center includes one of the nation’s top heart care services.

Home of the famous “Baby Fae” baboon heart transplant in 1984 and the “Baby Moses” infant-to-infant transplant a year later. The medical center also houses one of the most successful Proton Radiation Treatment centers in the world. Fully one-fourth of all patients in the world treated with proton therapy for prostate cancer and other diseases came to Loma Linda for care.
