CDBG Project Proposal Application Package

2006-2007 PROGRAM YEAR

Each year the County of San Bernardino receives grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The County as an “entitlement county”, is responsible for implementing a CDBG program for the unincorporated areas of the county and thirteen (13) cities that cooperate in the County CDBG Program. There are eleven (11) cities in San Bernardino County that receive and administer their own CDBG entitlements.

Lists of the “cooperating” cities and “entitlement” cities appear in the CDBG Program Guidelines. These guidelines also list the project eligibility requirements and a summary of the proposal review process. The Guidelines can be viewed at CDBG Program Guidelines.

There are two sets of 2006-2007 CDBG Application forms:1) Public Service Application Forms ( 6 pages) for public service projects; and, 2) Construction and Other Community Improvements Application Form ( 9 pages) for construction and other projects. The applications may be viewed by clicking these links. The instructions for filling out these forms can be viewed at Instructions for Completing CDBG Project Proposals. Proposal deadline: December 15, 2005.
