Needles

The Mojave Desert city of Needles sits near the Arizona border along historic Route 66. The city owed its founding to the railroad and later thrived with visitors traveling the storied cross-country highway. Interstate 40, a key trucking corridor, later replaced Route 66 and still sends waves of vehicles past Needles.
