The Rancho Cucamonga Historical Society will host a Mother-Daughter-Friend Tea at the historic Rains House on Saturday, May 6 between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. The tea will acquaint the community with the Rains House and with the work of the historical society. Cost is $22.50 per person and proceeds benefit the historical society.
Seating is limited and tickets must be purchased in advance from the historical society.
The John Rains House, constructed in 1860, is the oldest standing burned-brick home in San Bernardino County. On the National Register of Historic Places, it is a historic site administered by the San Bernardino County Museum. The Rains House is at 8810 Hemlock in Rancho Cucamonga, two blocks north of Foothill Blvd. at the corner of Vineyard and Hemlock.
