Free Admission Sunday at the County Museum
The San Bernardino County Museum invites the public to visit the museum in Redlands during regular museum hours with no admission fee on Sunday, February 5 4. Visitors will enjoy special exhibits along with displays of specimens and artifacts that interpret local history, anthropology, geology, paleontology, and biological sciences in regional context. Free admission is sponsored by a contribution from the Automobile Club of Southern California.
Museum patrons will see “A Life of Adventure: Jim and Della Fisk,” a special exhibit designed as a gigantic scrapbook recording the adventures of the Fisk family in southern California and Nevada at the turn of the last century. Sunday will also offer a chance to see “Beaded Treasures,” a special exhibit that closes February 12 of beaded items designed and made in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. And guests can take an unofficial peek at an exhibit under construction in the Hall of History, “Salton Sea: lost lakes and salt dreams,” which will open February 11.
The San Bernardino County Museum is at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands. The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Everyone will be admitted free on Sunday, December 4.
