Free Admission at County Museum

The San Bernardino County Museum invites the public to visit the museum in Redlands during regular museum hours with no admission fee on Sunday, February 6. This free admission day is supported by a generous contribution from the Automobile Club of Southern California.

While at the museum, visitors can enjoy three special exhibits as well as displays of specimens and artifacts that interpret local history, anthropology, geology, paleontology, and biological sciences in regional context. “A Walk in the Woods,” a traveling exhibit from the Forest Foundation, invites visitors to discover California forests. “Award-Winning Images from the Redlands Camera Club,” in the Fisk Gallery, is a colorful and lively photography exhibit. “Bright, Quick, and Ready: Schools in San Bernardino County 1870s–1940s,” a special exhibit in the Hall of History galleries that opens February 5, uses objects from the museum collections and hands-on activities to explore school days of the past.

The San Bernardino County Museum is at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands. The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. General admission is $6 (adult), $5 (student or senior), and $4 (child aged 5 to 12). Children under five and Museum Association members are admitted free, and everyone will be admitted free on Sunday, February 6. Parking is free, and the facility is handicapped-accessible.
