One of the U.S. Navy’s oldest and finest military bands takes command of the evening with a salute to some of America’s treasured patriotic music and pop favorites. Under the direction of Lt. Jane E. Hoffman, the band serves the military and civilian communities throughout the Southwestern United States.

For the third time, Immanuel Baptist Church will join with other local sponsors to host a fantastic July 4th celebration for the community of Highland! Spend the evening with us and connect with local business, get some great food, check out the cars at the classic car show, watch your kids enjoy the multiple fun zones, enjoy the live entertainment, or just relax on the ball fields while you wait for the fireworks show. And the show will be the highlight of the evening – 25 minutes of amazing fireworks backed by inspiring music!
Parking opens at 5:00 pm, and the fields will open at 5:30pm. Food vendors will begin selling at 5:00 pm, as well.

Big Bear Lake's pyrotechnics display consistently ranks as one of the top five in California. Big Bear's Rotary Club, which organizes the annual event, always shoots the highest quality fireworks. They also make sure to a lengthy show of 30 minutes in duration. The show is free and can be viewed from a boat, around the lake and throughout Big Bear Valley.
The Rotary Club's July 4th BBQ is always the closest and best view site for the fireworks show. The 4th of July BBQ includes your choice of steak or chicken; or hot dog or hamburger; and each meal comes with your choice of soda or bottled water, all the fix in's and warm german potato salad. There is a beer and wine garden for ages 21 and over, plus a carnival midway of games, crafts and entertainment all afternoon on Independence Day. The Barbeque opens at 4 p.m. with the fireworks at 9 p.m. Everyone brings their own chairs or blankets and a good appetite to join in the lakeside fun!
