How We Can Help You
Technical Assistance
When available, the Grants Office assists departments and community benefit organizations with grant development, from conceptualization to final proposal. If assistance is required, please allow sufficient time to adequately support the development of the grant prior to the submission date.
Collaboration
The Grants Office develops and maintains strong relationships with local, state, and national foundations and funding agencies to help link community benefit organizations with funders and encourages the submittal of common proposals for funding.
Training and Events
The Grants Office assists and coordinates community events on behalf of the Board of Supervisors and local nonprofit collaborations to provide training on a wide range of grant topics such as: program budgeting, grant writing and development, fundraising, capacity building, researching funding opportunities, and “Meet the Funders” events.
Administrative Support
Grants submitting on behalf of the County are coordinated by the Grants Office to ensure that all county policies have been followed and that submission deadlines are met.
Proposal Development Assistance
The Grants Office staff serves as the primary writers for the county departments that do not have grant writers on staff. The Grants Office reviews grant proposals to ensure the submission is well-written and contains compelling information to entice the funding agency.
Funding Searches
The Grants Office routinely researches federal, state, and private grant opportunities and distributes notices to County staff and local nonprofits.
