Sunny days. Amusement parks. Year-round sports. We have it all! With close to
eighty percent of our days sunny, our region provides people an unparalleled
opportunity to indulge in all types of recreation activities. Our County’s
varied landscape allows you to go from winter snow sports (such as snow skiing
and snow boarding) to warm weather activities (like water parks and hiking). San
Bernardino boasts two national parks and more than 100 regional and local parks,
museums, golf courses and numerous fairs.
If shopping is your idea of recreation, we have dozens of shopping malls in
addition to Southern California’s premier outlet centers, the Ontario Mills and
the Factory Merchants Mall and Tanger Outlet in Barstow.
Sports have a home here too. Three professional minor league baseball teams, the
Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, the San Bernardino Stampede and the Adelanto Mavericks.
Also, Penske Motorsports now hosts world class NASCAR and Indy car races at the
speedway in Fontana.
