Muscoy's Baker Family Learning Center grand opening

On May 18, 2013, Muscoy opened a facility that will provide free computer and Internet access, public library, preschool, community meeting room and much more in the form of the Baker Family Learning Center.

Healthy Muscoy Festival, first time success

Supervisor Gonzales helps Mary Petit and the Incredible Edible Community Garden team plant a tree donated to Inland Empire Job Corps. The community enjoyed a event on April 27 filled with family fun and local resources from around the 5th District.

ARMC opens new laboratory

Supervisor Gonzales attended the ribbon cutting of Arrowhead Regional Medical Center's new dual purpose interventional laboratory. The new facility puts ARMC on the cutting edge of technology for angioplasties, angiograms and other procedures.

Board honors longstanding San Bernardino County employees

The Supervisor Gonzales and the Board recently honored many of our County employees during a special ceremony. Dozens of employees were given 20, 25, 30 and 35-year pins for their valued and dedicated service to the public of San Bernardino County. Thank you all for your hard work!

Happy New Year, from Cambodia!

In April, Supervisor Gonzales celebrated the Cambodian New Year with friends from the Asian-American Resource Center and others at the Temple of the Khmer Buddhist Society. The Asian-American Resource Center can be contacted at (909) 383-0164.

LEAD Summit

Supervisor Gonzales was given the opportunity to attend the 2013 LEAD Summit as the "Madrina de Honor" on March 27. The all-day event is focused on promoting the importance and advancement of education within Latino communities.

Supervisor Honored for ICH Leadership

Gary Madden, director of 211 San Bernardino County, honors Supervisor Gonzales for her leadership with the Interagency Council on Homelessness and her continued perseverance in helping bring an end to homelessness in San Bernardino County.

33rd Annual IECAAC Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Prayer Breakfast

Supervisor Gonzales (pictured with the event's various honorees) spoke at the 33rd Annual IECAAC Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Prayer Breakfast Jan. 21 in honor of one of the most inspiring and influential activists in American history.
