Operation Reclaim and Rebuild rescues 20 victims of human trafficking

More than 70 federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies along with 10 task forces from across California participated in the 6th annual ‘Operation Reclaim and Rebuild’ enforcement operation. The San Bernardino County Human Trafficking Task Force participated in the seven-day, statewide effort aimed at combatting human trafficking. Between Jan. 26 and Feb. 1, the San Bernardino County Human Trafficking Task Force conducted operations throughout the county and specifically within the cities of San Bernardino, Loma Linda, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Redlands, Hesperia and Victorville. Twenty victims of human trafficking were located and rescued, including a 16-year-old female; 106 suspects were arrested for violations associated with prostitution and other crimes. Anyone wishing to report activities or concerns related to human trafficking can call (909) 387-8400 or email at humantrafficking@sbcsd.org.
